With over twenty years of teaching experience, my role as an educator is ever evolving as I continue to learn and grow through the spiraling seasons of life.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Biology from Milligan University, I went on to attain a Master’s in Education. As a licensed teacher, I taught in public schools across rural, inner city, and suburban communities. I discovered the beautiful educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason during my early years of motherhood. Her deep knowledge, understanding, and experience of educating the whole child convinced me to home educate my children. Since then, I have spent over a decade studying Miss Mason's works and applying her methods for a living education in our homeschool.

In addition to homeschooling my children, I have had the privilege of serving my local Charlotte Mason community in many ways. From leading a CM co-op and adult book group to co-founding the Charlotte Mason Educational Retreat, it has been an honor to learn and grow with like-minded families over the years. I continue to support the CM community by providing the services which you find offered here at A Sacred Education.

On a personal note, this life’s often hard, but always beautiful journey has led me to embrace the Christian contemplative life of a vowed religious in the Anglican Communion. Spending time in nature, taking in poetry, studying sacred writings and traveling are among my favorite formative habits. As a family, we love nature walks, laughing, singing, and discussing big ideas around the dinner table. We’ve made a simple home in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
