This beautiful life is a journey of becoming. My story, as is yours, is still unfolding. These current chapters are being written through my outward experiences as a mother, vowed religious, and teacher. I am a mother to three amazing teen and young adult children who are my joy. I am a novice in a Christian contemplative community, my soul companions on the journey into the mystery of the Divine. I am a teacher of over twenty years, a role which is ever evolving as I continue to learn and grow through the spiraling seasons…

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Biology from Milligan University, I went on to attain a Master’s degree in Education. As a licensed teacher, I taught in public schools across rural, inner city, and suburban communities. I discovered the educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason during the early years of motherhood. Her deep knowledge, understanding, and experience of educating the whole child convinced me to home educate my children. Since then, I have spent over a decade studying Miss Mason's works and applying her methods for a living education.

Outside of homeschooling, I’ve had the privilege of leading a CM co-op and book group, as well as co-founding the Charlotte Mason Educational Retreat. In addition to providing services offered here at A Sacred Education, I enjoy writing curriculum and teaching as a children’s minister where I am able to integrate Charlotte Mason into the fabric of spiritual formation.

When not teaching, I find travel and spending time with nature and family to be among my greatest joys and adventures.
